An Interesting skill as it can be both classified as a knowledge skill and a combat skill, but, as such, it is treated as neither. This Skill governs the use of large weapons platforms on space ships, such as rail guns and missile batteries, as well as large planetary defence grids. It can be used in combat as an attack roll with the weapon in question, or out of combat as a knowledge roll to determine the properties of a certain weapon.

Rail guns: A Character with this sub skill has both the knowledge to identify and use Rail Guns in combat. This means that they can move the weapons, aim, them and fire them, as well as have some basic knowledge of them.

Laser Turrets: A Character with this sub skill has both the knowledge to identify and use Laser Turrets in combat. This means that they can move the weapons, aim, them and fire them, as well as have some basic knowledge of them.

Missile Batteries: A Character with this sub skill has both the knowledge to identify and use Missile Batteries in combat. This means that they can arm missiles and program targets, as well as have some basic knowledge of them.

Planetary Defence Systems: A Character with this sub skill has both the knowledge to identify and use Planetary Defence Systems in combat. Planetary Defense Systems are different in nature to the other three sub-skills in this class as they are not on ships, but on planets: either simply independent weapons or entire grids that are computer programmed. The Operator can use either of these types.
